Since Valentin knew Anika was pregnant, he asked the staff in the hospital to report to him about her situation.

Joshua felt so worried and didn't know why.

"What happened?"

"I don't know. When I went to the hospital today, the doctor told me that Anika had died."

It was a great blow to Joshua!

He thought, "Die?

How could it be possible?

She was fine last night!"

He sat up instantly and felt dizzy. "What on earth happened?"

"The doctor said Anika was sent to the hospital last night. They tried anything but failed to save her."

Joshua grabbed his coat and rushed out of the house.

He drove to the hospital.

On the way, Joshua kept thinking about what Anika said last night.

"Mr. Conan, I have one question. Will you be sad if I die?"

At that moment, he felt he could hardly breathe.

He unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt but still felt breathless.

Finally, he reached the hospital.

Valentin was waiting for him for a long time.

"Where is she?" Joshua rushed over.

"The nurse said she was taken away by Trent. I checked the surveillance footage."

It was 1 a.m.

Valentin looked a bit tired and showed Joshua the surveillance footage.

"Last night, about 12 a.m. Anika was sent to the hospital for some reason. Then she died of excessive blood loss."

Valentin was shocked.

The director of the hospital was beside him, sighing.

"How could a kind girl suffer so much at such a young age? Sir, she saved you four years ago. Please help her."

"What did you say?" Valentin was stunned and looked up at him. "Someone else saved me, not her."

"Someone else?" The director was confused. "But I remembered clearly her arm was cut by glass deeply because she tried to save you. Look at this photo."

The director still remembered that Anika was covered in blood and rushed to the hospital despite her injuries four years ago.

At that time, he was not the director of the hospital yet.

Anika grabbed his hand and asked him to save someone.

But he didn't expect that he was gonna save Valentin, the son of the Arellano family.

Because of this, he climbed up the social ladder and became the director.

Though it was a long time ago, he still remembered her face and the long cut on her arm.

It was hard to imagine how she could hold back her tears with such a serious injury. All she was thinking was to save Valentin.

Hearing it, Valentin stared at the photo carefully. He did notice the long and faint cut on Anika's fair and slim arm.

Valentin felt a pang in his heart.
