Chapter 10
Chapter 10
"Master Alexander, our deepest sympathies."
The words hit Alexander like a thunderbolt.
He stood motionless for what felt like an eternity. Then his gaze snapped to Sophia, still held firmly by the household staff.
"Bring me everything that belongs to her. Now."
"Nathaniel just confirmed these were all your fabrications against Evelyn?"
Sophia thrashed violently. "Alex, I swear I'm innocent! I had nothing to do with Evelyn's death!"
Panic surged through her—her phone contained damning evidence of every scheme she'd orchestrated against me.
Within minutes, Alexander had all of Sophia's possessions in his hands. He swiftly bypassed her phone's security.
His expression darkened instantly.
Without hesitation, he backhanded Sophia across the face.
The sharp crack of the blow echoed through the hall just as Nathaniel and Benjamin returned.
Their arrival was met with the sight of Sophia pinned to the marble floor by servants, barely conscious.
Nearby, Alexander stood with bloodshot eyes, his fists clenched.
"Alex! Have you lost your mind?" Benjamin roared, rushing forward.
Nathaniel's gaze dropped. When he looked at Sophia, his eyes had turned glacial.
Alexander hurled the phone at his brothers.
Confused, they caught it—but their expressions morphed into horror within seconds.
The device contained irrefutable proof of Sophia's treachery.
From the moment she'd entered the Montgomery household, she'd been planting evidence—breaking her own jewelry to frame me, resulting in their harsh punishments.
Right up to three days ago, when she'd slipped the allergen into my drink with meticulous planning.
Each video clip showed their angry outbursts at me, always accompanied by Sophia's muffled giggles.
Benjamin moved first. He grabbed Sophia by the hair and slammed her head against the floor. "All these years... we blamed Evelyn... because of you?" he rasped, voice raw with anguish.
"Remember, you only became a Montgomery because of her!"
"Why would you do this? Answer me!"
Blood trickled from Sophia's split lip. When she lifted her head, her eyes burned with venom. "Why? Because I deserved your love more than she ever did!"
"But tell me, brothers dear—who actually killed her?"
"Seems hypocritical to blame me now."
The three men froze as if struck. The rage drained from their faces, replaced by something far worse—guilt.
