Reborn, I Abandoned My Gold-Digging Son

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

"Ah~"

Seeing me eat and drink as usual, my husband sighed.

In the last life, our son always had accidents at school. We saved and lived frugally, sending him money almost every week.

I checked recently and found James took money from us with one hand and transferred it to Lila with the other.

Lila then gave it to her parents to support the family and her brother.

We were basically slaves for two families.

I patted my husband’s hand, “Don’t worry, let’s just pretend we don’t have this son.”

Early the next morning, someone knocked on the door.

I opened it to see the face I expected.

It was James.

"Mom, is the money ready? Otherwise, Lila's belly will prevent the wedding."

"Can you bear to see me separated from my wife and child?"

"Her mom gave me another week, or they'll abort the child."

"Your grandson is still a life, don’t you want to enjoy spoiling your grandchild?"

I sneered, there’s no life with a grandchild, only endless debts.

I sighed, "Son, it’s not that I’m not giving, but your parents are broke. The money for your marriage was all spent during college."

"I told you then, and you said it’s all for you anyway, you’ll earn for the house and bride price."

"Did you forget? If you hadn’t said that, I wouldn’t have given you the money. Now you want thirty thousand, I would’ve given you the fifty thousand I saved."

James showed an impatient expression, "Don’t tell me so much! Just say if you’ll give the money."

"No."

He got angry, grabbed a broom by the door, and came at me. My husband quickly stood in front of me.

"You brat, you want to hit your mom?"

He suddenly changed his attitude, put down the broom, and forced a smile.

"Misunderstanding, mom and dad~ can you bear to see your son unable to marry, single forever?"

"Moreover, your grandson is still in Lila’s womb, without money, he might just end up as blood."

I shook my head, "Son, we really have no money, if you insist, we old couple can only sell this house for you."

"This old house can cover the bride price, but not the down payment."

Hearing me relent, he finally smiled.

"Mom, don’t worry, we’ll pay the bride price, set the wedding date, and figure out the house after I marry."

Meaning he still plans to bleed us dry.

"Your parents can only help this far, the rest you handle, you can still buy a small house."

I said no more, his credit report is already ruined by me.

If he wants to buy a house, the bank won’t lend him much.
