Another Plan
The next morning Beatrice woke up with a headache, she frowned and was surprised to find Luke fast asleep hugging her, she almost screamed but soon realized that last night she asked him to hug her because she was so cold.
The wound on her palm was throbbing, the effect of the painkiller had worn off. With all her strength she let go of Luke's hand that was still holding her body, then she got out of bed and walked slowly towards the bathroom.
"Wait, I'll take you there!" said Luke suddenly, startling her. She turned and saw him sitting there rubbing his eyes.
After feeling quite awake, he went over to her and held her arm gently.
"You know you can fall if you walk around like this!" he muttered, she didn't say no because her head still hurt.
She walked limply into the bathroom with Luke's arm around her shoulder.
"Thanks, just get out now, I need to pee!" Beatrice said when she was in the bathroom. Luke just glanced at her with sleepy eyes, then turned around and left the bathroom without a word.
Not long after, there was a loud noise from inside the bathroom which made Luke immediately open the bathroom door and went inside. He thought Beatrice had fallen while getting up from the closet.
"BEA! ARE YOU OKAY?" asked Luke frantically, apparently, she accidentally dropped the giant soap bottle that was on the sink when she started to lose her balance, luckily she held on fast so she didn't fall.
She quickly grabbed Beatrice's body, then carried her to the bed.
"My head keeps spinning, I feel like throwing up..." she said, smacking the back of her head.
Luke's face looked panicked, he took out his cellphone and called someone, not long after that he picked up the intercom and called the restaurant to deliver breakfast upstairs.
"You should eat your breakfast, the doctor will be here soon," Luke said, tugging at the tip of his big toe.
Beatrice poked her head out from under the blankets, glancing at the push table filled with a variety of food with no appetite.
"I want that croissant with chocolate dipping," she said barely audibly.
"Okay go eat them!" he said still standing in front of her,
Beatrice pursed her lips,
"Can you get it for me? My head hurts so bad!" she said, her face looking very weak. With a chuckle, Luke picked up a croissant that was still warm and held it out to her
"You're not even my wife yet but it's already so troublesome!" he mumbled while shoving a big omelet into his mouth. Beatrice sneered, then glanced at him in annoyance.
"It's not that I want this to happen!" he half-shouted, then stopped immediately as his head hurt.
While they were arguing over breakfast, someone knocked on the hotel room door. Luke went to open the door and went back to bed with a middle-aged doctor who came with a cheerful face.
He and the doctor engaged in a warm conversation as if they were old friends who had just met again.
"Bea, this is Michael Benson, he was my family doctor when we were still living at Chelsea," he said introducing Doctor Benson to Beatrice.
After small talk between them, Doctor Benson examined Beatrice carefully, then looked at the X-ray of Beatrice's palm.
"The wound is quite deep, but the doctor at the hospital must have given the right action last night, you just lacked hemoglobin and had a fever last night maybe because your wound was a little infected," said Doctor Benson then looked at the medicine prescribed by the doctor at the hospital last night.
"Since you already have antibiotics, then I will only give you blood booster and supplements so that you get refreshed quickly, don't forget to finish the antibiotics so the infection doesn't get worse," added Doctor Benson then opened his bag that resembled a small suitcase and took out a few strips of medicine. which he would give to Beatrice.
"Hurry up and take your meds and get some sleep, I have to go to my Attorney's office in the West End, to sort out our marriage contract," he said, putting on his cool coat.
"Why not in New York? Our contract marriage is a secret? What if she broke it to your father?" Beatrice said as she unwrapped the medicine packs one by one.
"Easy! This West End attorney was a friend of mine when I was in Oxford, I can't make contracts in New York because even walls can talk, leave it all to me!" said Luke, wrapping the scarf around his neck. Beatrice just shrugged.
After Luke came out, Beatrice decided to sleep and hoped the headache would go away soon. In her sleep, she dreamed that she was standing on a cliff looking at the beautiful sea wearing a white wedding dress.
A few hours later she awoke from her slumber, her eyes searching for Luke, but he was nowhere to be seen. Her head felt lighter. She tied her long brunette hair and walked to the bathroom.
Suddenly,
"Luke!" she screamed as she saw Luke walk into the hotel room with several bloody bruises on his face. At that time Beatrice had just finished taking a bath.
"Oh, God! What happened!" Beatrice asked frantically, she was half running towards him.
"Just walk! Don't run!" snapped Luke worried, he didn't want anything bad to happen to Beatrice who was still sick.
Beatrice slowed her steps, sneered, "So why is your face like that?" she inquired as she looked at Luke who was taking off his cold coat.
"I met Matthew!" growled Luke as he plopped down on the sofa. Beatrice frowned, "You had a fight with Matthew?" asked Beatrice while sitting next to him, observing the wound on his face.
"I was suspicious from the start that he appeared in front of the hotel for some reason, I think he already knew that you were my future wife, maybe he saw my social media posts," he said, still annoyed.
Beatrice then remembered two days ago when she met Matthew in front of the hotel, well he was a bit suspicious.
"Where did you meet him?" she asked as she went to get the first aid kit in her trunk and then sat back down next to Luke.
"He followed me all the way to the West End, maybe he'll find out about Bradley too, awww can you do it more gently!" he snapped, wincing as Beatrice cleaned the wound.
"Bradley who?" she asked her hands still busy cleaning the wound.
"My Attorney, but don't worry, Bradley can be trusted," Luke said, wincing occasionally in pain.
"How about you? Are you feeling better?" Luke asked after Beatrice had finished treating her wound. She shrugged, "Yeah, not bad," she said and leaned her back on the sofa.
"Oh I almost forgot." Luke reached into the coat pocket that was lying on the back of the sofa, pulling something out.
"I've already exchanged it, give it a try!" He held out a dark blue ring box which instantly made Beatrice's eyes sparkle.
Beatrice took the box and opened it and there was a ring studded with very beautiful diamonds. She quickly pinned the ring on her ring finger, "It's fit me perfectly!" she shouted happily.
Luke closed his eyes,
"Let's get some rest, tomorrow we're going to fly," he muttered.
"Fly? To New York?" asked Beatrice curiously as she studied the beautiful ring on her ring finger.
"Positano"
Beatrice's face brightened instantly, "What did you say? Positano?!"
