Trapped in a Fire, My Son and I Are Reborn

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

The leading man paid no heed, punching Principal Li to the ground, and the other teachers dared not stop us anymore.

We all rushed to the hallway!

We had been delayed too long. With no time for protection, I twisted open the fire extinguisher and charged ahead.

The parents followed my lead, opening their extinguishers.

Meanwhile, Jason Carterhad successfully secured Lin Fenfen and her daughter, ready to escape to "safety."

The fierce flames gradually subsided as we parents moved forward step by step, feeling like we were walking forever in the ten-meter hallway.

Finally, a small hand reached out from the thick smoke! I grabbed it, passing the child back, where strong hands firmly took hold!

In less than five minutes, all the children were saved. Fortunately, my son and the others had moved to the stairwell early, buying themselves precious time!

As we safely exited, an explosion sounded. Lin Fenfen and her daughter watched from the sidelines, held by my husband.

My six-year-old son clung tightly to me, asking the arriving paramedics to tend to me.

"Mom, we don't need Dad this time."

I looked at Jason Carterand Lin Fenfen beside me, but Jason Cartershowed no interest in me or our son.

Lin Fenfen pointed in my direction, saying to Andrew Carter, "I know how the fire started. I have evidence."

Lin Fenfen was a teacher at the kindergarten and Andrew Carter's first love from ten years ago. When Keke started kindergarten, she and Jason Carterreconnected.

Jason Carterand I had been together for ten years, seen by everyone as a good husband and father, and I never doubted him.

I never imagined that one day, during a fire, Jason Carterwould save them first, even willing to have me and our son pay with our lives for their deaths.

If in my previous life I hadn't threatened to die, moving the whole fire brigade.

If this time I didn't understand firefighting and was just a mother desperate to save her son, rushing into the fire.

Then this fire would have only killed people from my son's class and me!

Because this morning, I received a call from Lin Fenfen, which prompted me to rush to the kindergarten, "coincidentally" witnessing the fire in my son's class!

I held my son tightly, almost losing him again in this life, "Keke, how did your classroom catch fire?"

Keke cried, "The locker where we put our backpacks caught fire first!"

"Last time, I remember Ms. Li touched my backpack. This time, when I woke up, I stopped her from going through it, but she scolded me and still took it!"

I was shocked, recalling what Lin Fenfen said to Jason Carterearlier, along with the call from Lin Fenfen this morning.

Is there a connection between all this?
