Back to the Day of the Plane Crash, I Have My Fiancée Save Her True Love First

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

**Prelude**

The plane was falling apart, the engine sputtering, and the tension was unbearable. One of the parachutes failed, and in that moment, with death looming over us, Lily handed me the last working parachute.

I survived, but my half-brother Alex didn't. He disappeared without a trace, swallowed by the sky.

After we were rescued, Lily chose to honor the engagement we had, and we held a lavish wedding. But for the next six years, things were never the same. She blamed me for Alex's death and treated me like an enemy, turning every day into a living nightmare.

When the time finally came for our divorce, she chose the crash site to end everything, right there with me.

But when I woke up, everything had changed. I was back on that fateful day, and this time, I was determined to make sure the person she loved most survived. I wouldn't let history repeat itself.

**Prelude ends**

I realized I was being given a second chance just as the plane started shaking.

The crew handed out parachutes, but when it came to Alex and me, they found one of the parachutes was faulty.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Lily handed me the last parachute.

"Bruce, this parachute is for you."

The pain in her eyes was evident, but I stepped back, refusing to take it.

"No need," I said. "Lily, save Alex first."

This time, I wasn't going to bear the weight of someone else's life. I wanted to live for myself.

Lily's face relaxed, and there was a flicker of relief, and even something like joy, in her gaze.

"As your fiancée, I should save you first," she said, "but since you asked me to save Alex, I won't let you down."

She quickly attached the parachute to Alex, pulling him close before jumping out of the plane, without even looking back, afraid I'd change my mind.

How ridiculous. Did she really think everyone would act the way she did?

She made her choice, yet after being rescued, she regretted it.

In the previous life, she gave me the parachute, stayed with me as I jumped, and left Alex on the plane. Even after we landed safely and called the rescue team, Alex was lost to the high-altitude crash.

When Lily first heard of Alex's death, she didn't flinch. She said, cold as ice,

"He was just someone insignificant."

She took care of everything related to Alex's death alone. Her only request was that he not be buried alone, asking for a plot in the Taylor family tomb.

I agreed without hesitation and even asked if she wanted to delay the wedding.

But what did she say?

With that affectionate look she always gave me, she said:

"Alex, marrying you is all I've ever wanted. We can't delay the wedding for an insignificant outsider, can we?"

"You know I've waited for this day for so long."

I truly thought she loved me and wanted to spend forever with me.

But as time passed, I realized she was only in a hurry to marry me to torment me—forcing me to pay for Alex's death.

Back then, though, I wasn't the one who made her choose. I didn't force her to choose me.

So why did Alex's death have to be my fault?

This time, I gave her the opportunity to save the one she truly loved. She should be grateful.
