Back to the Day of the Plane Crash, I Have My Fiancée Save Her True Love First

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Watching them disappear into the sky, panic hit me as I immediately started scrambling for a way to save myself.

This time, I knew better than to trust Lily to remember to call for help once she landed safely.

In both lives, her heart had always belonged to Alex, my half-brother.

In the past, she managed to contact the rescue team after the crash, but that was only because she had the signal. Now that Alex had the parachute, I couldn't count on her to do the same for me.

If she didn't announce my death right away, I'd consider it a small victory.

After all, in both lives, it had always been Alex who held her love, not me.

I learned the hard truth in the previous life, long after our marriage—Lily and Alex had a history that went way back. They'd been in the same school, both struggling with being illegitimate children, and their bond ran deep. They had promised to always be there for each other.

My engagement to Lily was never about love. It was about wealth. The Johnson family's fortune would be mine as the rightful heir.

Even though Lily had loved Alex for years, she chose me, all for the money.

But in the end, she regretted it.

Now, in this life, I had made a new choice for her. If she had any gratitude left, it should be for this.

I watched them fade into the distance, then bolted toward the cockpit.

In my previous life, I let Lily's guilt and manipulation convince me that the crash was my fault. Alex's death was my burden to carry. It was me who had taken his chance.

But I wouldn't make the same mistake again.

I threw myself into learning to fly, got my license, studied countless simulations, and asked experts for advice. Their answers were always surprising when I showed them my plans.

In this moment, everything I'd worked for came together.

With steady hands, I fastened my seatbelt, took control of the plane's descent, and got to work.

The plane wasn't really in trouble. This was all part of a sabotage orchestrated by a rival company to stir up trouble between the Johnson and Taylor families over a big project in City A.

But now that I was back, I wouldn't let the tragedy repeat itself.

I moved swiftly, reopening the throttle, adjusting the joystick and pedals. The engine roared back to life, and the plane leveled out, stopping its deadly descent.

But the previous drop meant there was no chance we could reach the airport. An emergency landing was my only option.

Luckily, there were no towering skyscrapers below, just vast mountains.

I steered the plane through the trees, weaving and dodging, and finally brought it down smoothly between two peaks.

As I stepped out of the cockpit and stood on solid ground, I felt like I had been given a second chance at life.

The landing spot was isolated, though, and there was no signal.

I tried calling for help, but the phone was useless. After several failed attempts, I decided to head down the mountain myself.

With the remaining supplies, I made my way down, the rugged terrain scraping at my legs. Blood dripped from my ankle, but I couldn't afford to stop and clean it.

Finally, I spotted someone on a path ahead. I shouted out, desperate.

"Help! Wait, help me!"

She heard me. She turned.

And in that instant, time froze.

"Samantha?"
