Married to the Billionaire by Chance

Chapter 36 Fake?

Chapter 36 Fake?

'What? Go ahead."

Jovanny looked away from her face. "What if...you find that I lied to you one day?"

"Well..." Gracelyn didn't know how to answer this question. She said carefully, "It depends on our relationship and the truth."

Then she added, "Isn't it too early to say that?"

"Yeah, it is." Jovanny had a significant tone.

He ended the topic. "Alright. Let's talk about the house."

She nodded and sat straight subconsciously as if she was waiting for an order. "Go ahead."

"Now that we are not going to get divorced, we don't have to do it that way. You wanted the house, and then you can have your name on the deed."

"Oh..."

Jovanny continued, "So we just live like a normal couple before any of us wants to get divorced. You don't need to look out for me like that.

"In marriage, we don't worry about losses. As your husband, it's my duty to support my family. Don't feel overwhelmed."

She didn't know what to say.

"Didn't you want to know what my grandpa said? He said a marriage would finally come to an end once one was worried about losses."

Gracelyn couldn't react at all. She could only agree, "Yeah. You are right."

Jovanny said, "My point is, we can both decide on our marriage. If you meet a guy you really like, we can get divorced. It goes the same for me."

She nodded and understood. "I see."

"Good. So let's just be a normal couple before we decide to get divorced."

Gracelyn pondered and nodded. "OK. No objections. In this case, I'll put my name on the deed."

"OK. Tell me if you need money."

He was busy on Friday because he had things to do all day. He didn't have time to deal with the deed with her.

She couldn't help laughing. "You freaked me out. You were so serious. But I feel happy after the talk. I learned a lot."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I learned different opinions about marriage and partners. I learned that not everyone was bad and not every man was weighing disadvantages and advantages selfishly."

Jovanny was usually quiet. She didn't expect him to talk a lot.

He pouted quietly.

Ever since he hid his identity from her, he had been weighing disadvantages and advantages.

"Don't judge people from their appearance or based on your intuition," he said vaguely.

She frowned in confusion.

But he ended the conversation. "Alright. It's late. Time to go to bed."

Gracelyn looked at his laptop with doubt and then looked at him. "You are gonna work overtime?"

He paused.

He sensed the anxiety in her eyes.

Somehow, he thought of her stiff body as he sat behind her on her motorbike.

He smiled, "No. I will go to sleep early today."

Gracelyn's face froze. The corners of her mouth twitched. Then she forced a smile. "OK. OK. I will take a shower then."

She blushed as she stood up. She got her pajamas from the closet and ran out of the bedroom.

After staying in the bathroom for half an hour, she finally came out when Lily knocked on the door.

"Gracelyn, why did you stay here for so long?" Lily stared at her teasingly.

She smiled awkwardly. "Well, I just needed to use the toilet. You can get in now."

Lily raised her eyebrows and stared at her back. Gracelyn seemed nervous. It made Lily laugh. Then Lily pushed the door open and entered the bathroom.

After Gracelyn went back to her bedroom, Jovanny found his champagne-colored pajamas.

"I'm gonna take a shower." He turned to her at the door.

"Go for it." Gracelyn pretended to be drying her hair to appear natural.

He smiled and went to the bathroom with his pajamas. Just then, Lily came out.

She was only wearing a white lacy gown. Even though she didn't bend, her curves were revealed.

Her cousin-in-law and would-be father-in-law were in the house. But she was still bold.

Apparently, she was not just an innocent woman.

Seeing Jovanny, she stood straight to show her body.

But Jovanny didn't even look at her and got into the bathroom.

When he closed the door, she suddenly grabbed his wrist. "Wait."

He frowned. "Let go."

Lily smiled at him and touched his watch. "This watch is worth over 2 million dollars. Is it fake?"

His eyes changed. He narrowed his eyes with annoyance. "You know this?"

Lily put her hair behind her ear. "Yeah. So is it fake or not?"

Jovanny sneered, "Do you think I can afford a real one?"

Lily raised her eyebrows. "Yeah. If you can afford it, you won't live here with us. So what about your clothes? Fake too?"

Jovanny asked, "Isn't your family rich? Why can't you tell it?"

Lily's smile froze. "I can, of course. But I just want to ask."

He took his hands back coldly and closed the door.

Lily stared at the door with her smile gone. She was confused. Even if Jovanny had bought a fake watch, he shouldn't have bought such an eye-catching one.

Why didn't he look embarrassed when he claimed that it was fake?

No one would admit that because the purpose of buying fake ones was to show off!

She felt that Jovanny was strange.

In the bathroom, Jovanny took off his watch and looked at it. Then he put it in his pocket and decided not to put it on again.

Gracelyn lay in bed, biting her fingers. She was nervous at the thought of what would happen next. Her heart beat wildly.

Just as she was distracted, Jovanny got in. He stood in front of the bed and asked her.

"Can I get into bed?"
