My Sweet, Tyrant Lycan Mate

Chapter Twenty-Six

Chapter Twenty-Six

You Can’t Control Me

Zack’s POV

As soon as I got up the stairs and out of Isabella’s sight, I took Lily into my arms. I stroked her neck and collarbone gently.

It had been a while since I mind-linked with Lily like that, and it took a toll on my mental capacity. When we got to the library room, I closed the door and placed Lily on the bed gently. I also ended the mindlink, too.

I took a deep breath and placed a kiss on Lily’s thigh. “Are you okay?”

Lily stroked my hair gently and nodded my head. “Yes, I promise. That was some good acting you did back there.”

I chuckled. “I can say the same for you, too.” I softly kissed Lily’s lips.

“So, what happens now?”

“Well…” I took a moment to hone in on my hearing abilities. I could hear the buttons on the phone in the kitchen being pressed. “Isabella’s making a call to Alpha Leo. She’s probably telling him that she was successful in replacing you.”

I placed another kiss on her thigh, but this time, higher. “But she’ll never replace you.”

Lily blushed. “Oh my god~ Stop!”

I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. “You’ll have to stay in here about a day or two, okay? Luckily, there’s a bathroom next to you, too. I’ll keep her outside of the house some time after noon today so you can come out, grab food, and take a shower without her noticing.”

Lily nodded her head and laid on the futon couch.

“Oh, by the way,” I had one more thing to ask before I left. “You did get all of your stuff from our room, right?”

Lily rummaged through her bags and nodded her head. “Most of it. I left behind some stuff that I didn’t care about since I was in a rush.”

“I’m going to burn them.”

Lily gave me a confused look.

“Just to make it look convincing that you’re being replaced,” I reassured her.

Lily smiled and placed her hand on my cheek. “Be careful, okay?”

“You know I will.” I gave her a wink and kiss before I left the room.

Once I had gotten a small box of Lily’s things, I made my way downstairs. Although I knew that I needed to act like I was choosing Isabella over Lily, the Fire Wolf roared in anger.

“Fuck this game!” The Fire Wolf growled. “We have a mate! Burn the whole fucking pack into the ground! How dare they try to replace her!”

“Weren’t you the one that said that my people were out here and that the Night Walker Pack could be responsible for their disappearance?” I scolded the Fire Wolf. “You’re going to have to deal with this for now!”

The Fire Wolf growled in the back of my mind but didn’t argue.

When I got downstairs, Isabella was sitting on top of the kitchen counter. When she saw me, a seductive smirk spread across her lips.

“My king has returned,” Isabella purred.

I walked up to her with a cold expression and grabbed a handful of her hair. Then I yanked her head down.

Isabella let out a yelp but looked up at me with adoring eyes.

“I’m my own king, not yours.”

Isabella hopped off the counter and got down on her knees in front of me. Her hands traveled up my thighs and almost reached my crotch. She looked up at me with lust in her eyes.

With Isabella’s hair still in my hand, I slammed her against the counter and bent down to her level. “You don’t touch me unless I permit you. Unless you want to end up like Lily. Understood?”

Fear flashed in her eyes for a split second before returning to a look of adoration and lust. “Yes, Your Majesty.”

I let go of Isabella and stood up, straightening my clothes. “Good. Now, go out into the backyard. I have a task for you.”

I led Isabella to the backyard and gave her an ax and some shears. I pointed to the overgrown bushes and small trees that were just barely growing.

“Cut those down and put them in a pile. You won’t fuck something up that’s so simple, right?”

Isabella nodded her head and went straight to work. I watched as she chopped the thin trunks and shrubbery, making a neat pile in the backyard.

Once the pile was big enough, I heard the doorbell ring throughout the entire mansion–even in the backyard. Who the hell else is here?

“Isabella, tell whoever the hell it is to go away.”

She nodded and scurried to the door only to return not long after.

I looked back and was ready to yell at Isabella and was surprised to see Alpha Leo. Accompanying him were three other people.

I raised my eyebrow. “You’re getting awfully comfortable with visiting without asking, Alpha Leo.”

Alpha Leo bowed. “My apologies, Your Majesty. I simply came by to bring members of the Blue Moon Pack–you know, Lily’s pack?”

I held in my shock and kept a stern expression. “What brings them here?”

“We wanted to come check up on our daughter…” The woman spoke nervously. “...Your Majesty.” She bowed.

The man holding her hand bowed, too. “This is my wife, my mate, Betty. I’m Beta William. We’re Lily’s parents…”

Then William motioned his hand to the man who stood beside them. “This is Alpha Oscar, he’s like a brother to me.”

I let out a huff. “I don’t remember asking. I wouldn’t say it’s a pleasure meeting you all, as you’ve come here in vain.”

“W-what do you mean?” Betty stammered.

I walked back to the pile that had been made and pulled out a lighter. In an instant, the pile of sticks, branches, and leaves was set ablaze. Then I kicked the box of Lily’s belongings over to the parents.

Lily’s parents and alpha looked into the box and collectively smiled. I couldn’t help but smirk at their shock.

“What is the meaning of this?” Alpha Oscar’s voice was awfully brave.

“Do I have to spell it out for you?” I scoffed. Bending down to pick up the box, I threw it in the fire.

We all watched as the flames consumed Lily’s belongings.

“Your precious daughter has offended me long enough. Her ignorance and attitude after she became my maid was insufferable.” I smiled wickedly at her parents. “So, I killed her.”

I looked at Alpha Leo who, I knew was pretending, looked at me in shock. While Lily’s parents began to cry uncontrollably, Alpha Oscar was leading them away from the fire and back into the house.

“You’re a monster! Sweet Lily did nothing to deserve such a senseless death!” Alpha Oscar yelled back.

Alpha Leo turned around to console the grieving parents as he walked away. “His Majesty is out of control, I know. But there’s nothing we can do… The fire in him is too strong. But when it threatens to consume him, we’ll be ready.”

I scoffed at Alpha Leo’s empty words but something about them stuck in the back of my mind. And although the Fire Wolf wanted to burn everything down, I suppressed my rage as best as I could.

“Get the fuck out of my mansion!” I yelled at all of them including Isabella. “Now!”

I watched as they all ran away. Then I locked slammed the door and locked it.

That was when I knew it was time to leave.
