Revenge on My Gold-Digger Ex

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

"Selina, I was wrong! It's all my fault. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me, I can't live without you."

"Tomorrow, I'll tell everyone that you're my girlfriend. I'll love you forever, I swear."

I almost choked on my own disgust. After three calls from the property management, I finally agreed to meet him. When Liam saw me, his eyes practically lit up.

"Selina, I knew you still cared about me."

"Stop right there!"

I pulled out my phone, opened a live stream, and pointed it straight at Liam. His smile instantly froze.

"What are you doing with your phone?" he demanded.

I flashed a sly grin.

"I'm going live! Let's let everyone see your true colors. Go ahead, repeat what you just said."

Liam rushed at me, trying to grab my phone, but I swerved out of his way with ease. He was fuming, stomping his feet in frustration.

"Selina, are you crazy? Turn it off now."

I kept the camera trained on him, silent and unyielding. He was running around, trying to dodge the lens, but it only made the whole thing more ridiculous.

"Selina, you're going to regret this!"

Soon enough, the rumors started to fly. Word on campus was that I'd called the cops on Liam just to get his attention, that I was playing some twisted game of love and revenge. And, shockingly, some people actually bought it.

Liam had been telling anyone who'd listen that I was just the daughter of his servant, pestering him and making his life miserable. When Cathy heard this, she couldn't take it anymore. She marched up to me with her lackeys, blocking my path.

"Selina, how shameless can you get? Just leave Liam alone. You're nothing but the daughter of his servant. Do you really think he's into you?"

"Yeah, there's no way Liam would fall for someone like you," one of her cronies added.

I couldn't help but laugh, a bit too loud.

"You have no idea what you're talking about."

Cathy blinked, taken aback.

"What do you mean by that?"

"It means you've all been played. Liam's broke."

Before I could elaborate, Liam appeared out of nowhere, looking like he'd just lost his last penny. His face twisted with frustration.

"Selina, can you stop making a scene? I've had enough of this. The more you slander me, the less I'll ever care about you."

Oh, so now he was playing the victim? A few days ago, he was swearing up and down that he only loved me. Now I was the one pestering him? I raised my phone again, flashing it like a warning.

Liam shifted uncomfortably, his gaze darting around, clearly thrown off.

"Just… don't do this again, okay?"

With that, Cathy shot me a smug look and walked off, arm-in-arm with him. But their little victory didn't last long.

The court ruling came in, and the numbers didn't lie. Over the past two years, Liam had spent a jaw-dropping $8.6 million on my black card. The bank records were crystal clear, every single transaction was detailed, from the high-end boutiques to the luxury vacations.

Not to mention the $2.5 million worth of gifts I had generously given him.

Liam had no choice but to pay me back.
