THE CEO'S FAKE WIFE

Back To You

Back To You

For a moment Luke was in a daze while Rebecca kept talking in his ear, he didn't hear a word. He was busy thinking about Beatrice who must be really disappointed with his inability to keep a promise.

How could he defend Rebecca who hurt him more often, he could no longer tell what he felt for her, whether it was love or obsession?

While on the other hand, Beatrice may have needed him even more, he had already promised to pay her father's debt, she would surely be very sad if their marriage was annulled. Although she was not a special person, he has made a promise to her and he is a manly man who always kept his promises.

"Sorry Beck, it's too late. I gotta go!" he let go of Rebecca's hand, then took the car keys in the valet and rushed to the car, looking for Beatrice who had disappeared somewhere.

On the other side,

Beatrice limped along dragging her suitcase, the top of her heel still sore. She wept bitterly, not because she was afraid of losing Luke, but because she imagined she would have to marry Gary the Fart.

Actually, there was a bit of disappointment in her heart because Luke didn't care about her at all, they were nothing to him, but he kissed her gently last night! How could he not have even the slightest bit of empathy for her?

Tired of walking, she sat on a bench in some deserted park. She was daydreaming and thinking about where to go after that. Should she find a cheap hotel and stay in Paris for a few more days or should she move to another country?

As he was lost in thought a hand reached her out, tugging at it causing her to turn around. There she found Luke standing beside her with a guilty face. She looked away, refusing to meet his eyes. She wiped her tears that had fallen to her cheek, didn't want Luke to know she was crying.

"Bea, I'm sorry, I was a little confused," Luke said quietly, no arrogance at all in his voice. But Beatrice didn't answer.

"Bea! Please!" he called desperately, Beatrice turned her head and tears were already streaming down her beautiful face.

"How could you! I've asked you several times whether we're going to get married or not because I know you'll still change your mind! If you're not sure you better say it from the start! Every time Rebecca shows up, you always change your mind! What if you change your mind again right before the wedding?! " chirped Beatrice, crying in annoyance.

Luke rubbed his face, he couldn't bear to see Beatrice cry like that.

"I won't change my mind! I promise! The good news is I have to stop by London for a bit, how about we go shopping tomorrow?" he said resignedly, he had no other stance.

Beatrice immediately stopped crying, "You're not bragging are you?" said Beatrice with a twinkle in her face.

Luke snorted,

"You really are a mercenary! Hurry up! The police can ticket my car at any time!" he immediately picked her up because he saw her bleeding leg. Beatrice was surprised but she didn't complain.

After putting her inside his car, he ran back to the park to get her suitcase and they drove towards London together. One step closer to the wedding day.

After traveling for almost six hours, they arrived at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London - UK. Tired, Beatrice followed the bell boy who escorted her and headed for the suite room that had been ordered by Luke.

Their suite overlooks Hyde Park, which made Beatrice feel like looking out the window for a long time.

"Are you getting sane now?" she teased Luke when she found that there were two bedrooms in that luxurious suite.

Luke who was sitting on the sofa was silent, hiding the truth that he had deliberately booked a large suite with two bedrooms to avoid himself who might get out of control if he slept together with her.

Sometimes, he found himself compelled to kiss Beatrice's lips, he was afraid that he would go further. His body seemed to always ask to be closer to her, even though he was so sure that he really had no 'other' feelings for Beatrice.

"Why don't you answer me!" Beatrice grunted irritably.

"You just need to lay your body there, why do you talk so much! You're such a pain in the ass!" muttered defensively, making Beatrice sneer in annoyance.

"Whatever I'm starving!" Beatrice whined as she rubbed her rumbling stomach. They hadn't eaten much since leaving Bruges, for she had slept in the car.

"Just go downstairs to Heston Blumenthal, I need to take a quick shower, I'll catch up later," Luke said as he got up from the living room sofa and headed for the bedroom.

"How should I pay?" she asked, stalking Luke behind.

Luke breathed out heavily, he took his wallet and threw it to her, "Just bring my wallet, don't lose it!" he said curtly.

"I won't!" said Beatrice lightly.

He cheerfully stuffed Luke's wallet into her small bag, then she walked a little wobbly towards a restaurant not far from there.

While walking to the restaurant, she took selfies in several corners, including in front of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, which looked very artistic. But she has difficulty getting a good view if it is not helped by other people.

Her eyes went around to see the people around her, just then she saw a man standing not far from her, he was holding a cell phone to his ear. That man was quite handsome and tall.

"Excuse me," she greeted after the man seemed to have turned off his phone.

"Yes?" answered the man kindly.

"Can you help me to take my picture? Over there," she said, pointing at the Mandarin Oriental.

"Oh sure, no problem!"

Happily, she handed the phone to the man.

After finished posing and taking pictures in several corners, she took her cell phone back and said thank you. Then she turned and walked toward Heston Blumenthal excitedly.

"May I know where are you going?" asked the man politely, coincidentally he was also heading in the same direction.

"Dinner By Heston Blumenthal!" Beatrice said cheerfully.

The man laughed,

"I think we're heading the same direction! Is it okay if we walk together?"

the man asked with pleading eyes. Beatrice shrugged, "it's a public space!" she said lightly.

"Um, I'm Beatrice, Beatrice Miller!" she reached out to introduce herself.

"I'm Matthew," the man also introduced himself, shaking Beatrice's hand warmly, "Mathew Carter..."
