From Cell to Crown- The Disgraced Heiress Returns

Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Evan's expression remained cold as he spoke, "I'm Evan. You'd better think carefully before you act."

The police officers, already irritated by the arrogance of these men who tried to use their status to intimidate others, wasted no time. One of them pulled up a video showing the destruction they'd caused at the Ashford Family residence. "Where's the proof of your claim?" he asked.

Evan quickly pulled out a photo, urgency in his tone. "This is my sister. If you can bring her out, we can talk."

Drake also chimed in. "Are you familiar with the Kingsley Family? The news of my engagement to his sister is well-known. I'll go with you, but my fiancée has to come with me."

The officer gave them a quick glance. "That's just a photo, not evidence. But the damage you caused at the Ashford Family's residence was caught on surveillance. Please come with us."

Before Evan and Drake could argue, they were swiftly taken away. Meanwhile, inside the house, Dion informed Narissa about the situation.

Narissa, already mentally prepared, smiled softly at Dion's tense expression. "Don't worry. As long as I'm back, I'll see them again. They can't hurt me anymore."

Seeing her calm demeanor, Dion's heart ached. He gently ruffled her hair, a tender smile on his face. "Don't worry. I'll take care of everything."

Narissa didn't want to see them again, and as long as Dion was around, she knew they wouldn't. This time, Dion was determined to make everyone who'd ever humiliated Narissa pay the price.

Soon after, Dion arranged for his cousin Rachel, who was also pregnant, to take Narissa to the hot springs. "These hot springs are specially designed for pregnant women. It'll be good for both of you," he said.

Narissa smiled softly. "Alright, I understand."

Dion kissed her forehead, his voice filled with affection. "You're so obedient."

Rachel, feeling a little left out, pouted. "Dion, I'm right here! You should at least consider my feelings!"

Dion finally left, chuckling at Rachel's playful complaint.

With Evan and Drake causing trouble again, Dion wasn't taking them too seriously, but he was still worried about Narissa's safety. So, for now, they decided to stay at the estate to rest and recover.

However, Dion was surprised when he learned that they had followed them to the banquet. Drake had been acting like a madman, throwing money around to steal Dion's project.

With a calm expression, Dion spoke softly, "Mr. Kingsley, as far as I know, you haven't inherited the Kingsley Family business. Seems you're not really in a position to discuss a partnership, are you?"

Drake's face reddened with anger. After two years of poor performance, how dare his father not entrust him with the Kingsley Family business?

Just as he was about to defend himself, Evan stepped forward. "Drake might not have the qualifications, but I inherited the Sterling Family business. Does that make me qualified?"

Wendy's expression became subtle as he glanced at Dion, rubbing his nose with a dry laugh. "Of course, you have the qualifications. I'm just worried you might not be able to afford it."

Evan shot Dion a cold look and replied, "If you can offer it to me, I can certainly match it."

Wendy, now a bit awkward, glanced at Dion and said, "But I've already signed an agreement with Mr. Ashford. Let's discuss this next time."

Evan remained expressionless, his tone frigid. "What the Ashford Family offered you, I can offer three times as much—if you sign with me."
