THE CEO'S FAKE WIFE

Jealousy Incernate

Jealousy Incernate

The second day of living together.

Beatrice started to enjoy her role as a billionaire's wife, even if it was just temporary but it's actually quite fun though.

She didn't have to worry about paying for electricity, monthly fees and etc, and the most ridiculous thing was, the fact that she could eat anything from the fridge, she even could find a grade A wagyu inside their refrigerator.

She had just finished exercising on the jogging track on the ground floor of the Penthouse building and was pouring orange juice into a glass when suddenly Luke appeared. She almost spilled her juice because she was flabbergasted to see Luke's super elegant appearance. He was wearing his best suit because that day was the day he had been waiting for, the handing over of the CEO position, from his dad to him.

"Coffee!" said Luke while typing something on his cell phone. Beatrice pouted in annoyance, "Please?" Beatrice said reminding Luke to always use the word 'please' whenever he needed help. He snorted,, "Please, Bea?" repeated him with an annoying expression. Beatrice rolled her eyes and started to put a cup under the coffee machine and she also toasted bread with Nutella spread on it for Luke's breakfast.

"Wow, you made a toasted bread successfully! I'm impressed!" said Luke when he saw the toasted bread was perched sweetly next to his black coffee. Beatrice just snorted, she pulled a stool and sat on it.

"So you're officially CEO today," muttered Beatrice casually. Luke turned to her suspiciously,

"So what? I could hear the excitement in your voice, I know you're up to something," said Luke with a mocking face.

Beatrice smiled from ear to ear.

"Don't forget to pay my father's debt, okay? Gary has been waiting for it," she said carefully.

"Debt? What debt?" teased Luke, joking. Beatrice rolled her eyes, "Oh really? You really wanna play with me!"

Luke snorted, "So what are you going to do today?" he asked while putting the toasted bread into his mouth. Beatrice smiled brightly.

"Spending some money in stores!" said her excitedly. Luke snorted, "I think I know what's your motto when you go shopping," he muttered while standing up from the stool.

Beatrice frowned, "What?" she asked curiously.

"Don't Go Home Before The Money Runs Out!" said Luke with an annoying expression. Beatrice sneered, "Oh shut up! I deserved it, I've worked so hard to get it!" she said seriously.

"What did you say? Worked so hard? Hahahaha you're so funny!" teased Luke holding back a laugh. Beatrice took a deep breath, "Yeah, you don't know how hard it is for me to meet annoying people like you every single day! You drained my energy with all your abnormal attitude!" she said, rolling her eyes annoyingly.

Luke snorted while waving his hand,

"Okay whatever, I'm leaving!" he said as he walked quickly towards the exit, "Stay safe HUBBY!" yelled Beatrice half-jokingly.

After Luke left, she turned on the giant LCD and started to feed and play with Coco, Luke's giant virtual cat. She also ventured to feed the giant spider 'Aragog' which was very interactive and scary at the same time.

Beatrice was in deep thought about whether to go shopping alone or not because it would be so boring going alone without accompaniment. Suddenly an idea crossed her mind, she quickly took out her cell phone and dialed a number.

"Baby!" Leah's voice sounded cheerful when she received her call.

"Where are you? I need you!"

"Office! What? I'm working now!" said Leah hurriedly.

"Just leave it, I'll pay your today salary!" she said arrogantly, but after that she laughed.

"Oh look at you! You sounded like a real billionaire's wife!"

"What do you mean? I am the real billionaire's wife!"

"Okay whatever, I'll see you at fifth avenue in one hour," said Leah before she ended her call because her boss called her from afar.

After she finished bathing, she was busy picking out clothes in her walk-in closet.

"It's crazy, there are so many clothes, shoes, and bags, I don't think I need to go shopping anymore!" she muttered as she tried on a beautiful peach semi-casual knee-length dress.

About an hour later, her choice fell on a sleeveless cotton knee-length dress with a purple collar and faint stripes. She combined it with high-light beige stilettos and a little black bag, she didn't forget to pin her branded sunglasses to make it look more trendy. When she saw the mirror she squealed, "Oh God! Is that me?"

Beatrice chose an Italian restaurant for her and Leah to have lunch together. She sat gracefully, she was so happy because it was the first time in her life that she had eaten at a restaurant without having to think about how much the menu cost. She could freely point at the menu that she wanted. 'Oh, God! I wish it was not a contract marriage! I wanna live like this forever! Fuck love, money comes first!' she murmured inaudibly.

As she was sipping her favorite coffee, Leah was seen half running towards her with a cheerful face.

"Baby!" she screamed and hugged her tightly. Beatrice smiled widely until her teeth were showing from tip to tip.

"You are fit to be rich! I mean look at you!" said Leah, examining Beatrice's outfit from top to toe.

Beatrice laughed,

"I feel so comfortable with this kind of life! You know, you can eat anything without thinking how much it costs! Anyway, you can order anything! Just choose whatever you want! Make sure your tummy has enough space!" she said while handing the menu to Leah who immediately chose the menu excitedly.

"So how was marriage? Have you started talking again?" Leah asked, her hand taking the cigarette and lighting it quickly.

Beatrice nodded,

"We've been talking right after he transferred me the monthly pocket money, well, just to make me comfortable sitting around him again, after all, this contract was his idea," she answered while stirring her Iced Coffee.

Leah sneered, "That's my girl! Show him you have power and value!" she said, patting Beatrice's shoulder hard.

"So he's still talking to his ex?" asked Leah curiously.

Beatrice's face immediately became gloomy, "Yeah, but at least he never picked up her call in front of me, so I think I'll just pretend that I don't know anything," she answered cheerfully, but Leah knew her too well, she could see what other people didn't see.

"Don't lie to me, you have a crush on him, right?!" said Leah straightforwardly. She was right because Beatrice didn't deny it, she just pursed her lips,

"Yeah, just a small unimportant feeling, I think maybe because he is handsome and he's my first kiss," she answered trying to convince herself that her feelings for Luke were only that much.

A waiter came to put Leah's order on the table when the waiter shifted, she saw a very familiar person passing by but that person didn't see her, he just walked straight into a room in front of which was written 'VIP Room'.

Beatrice patted Leah's shoulder and she immediately looked in the direction she was going. Leah almost yelled to call him, but Beatrice covered her mouth with her hand.

"What is he doing here? I think he should be busy in his office?" she muttered to herself.

"Business lunchtime! Well maybe! It's in the VIP Room!" said Leah trying to think positively.

Beatrice shrugged, unsure. Then an idea popped into her head. She called a servant,

"Excuse me, my friend ordered the VIP room in this restaurant, I need to see her but she didn't pick up the call, may I know if the VIP room is reserved by a couple?" she asked, lying.

"I'm not sure but I'll check with the receptionist," replied the waiter and then walked back to the reception desk at the front of the restaurant.

Before long the waiter returned to her table, for some reason Beatrice's heart was pounding, she was afraid that what she was thinking was true.

"That's right miss, the reservation is under the name of Rebecca Lee, is that a friend of yours?" asked the waiter, making sure.

Beatrice didn't answer, she stared ahead expressionlessly, she touched her chest, Damn! It hurt, she felt like all her bones were gone, leaving her body powerless...
